Bridport and Beaminster fire crews were called to a vehicle stuck in flood water at Knights in the Bottom, near Hooke, on Sunday afternoon.

Wading teams were called to the scene at 5.17pm where it was found the driver had self-rescued.

Crews collected their belongings and moved the car to enable recovery.

A spokesperson for Bridport Fire Station said: "If you come across flood water it's always best to find an alternative route rather than risk entering and putting yourself, others and your property at risk."
