There was heavy traffic in Bridport town centre this morning after a car crashed in West Street.

It appeared the car mounted the pavement and hit metal railings outside Bridport Antiques, opposite Waitrose.

We are told the driver and passenger are shaken but uninjured.

Motorists were advised to avoid the area but the incident is now cleared.
