The Hive Beach Café is launching new eco-friendly packaging with a tasty offer - 20 free portions of fish and chips.

The team at the seafront café in Burton Bradstock has been paying a lot of attention to takeaway fish and chip packaging and tomorrow (Friday, February 4) the crew is launching a brand-new takeaway packaging to add to its growing recyclable collection.

The new biodegradable packaging, which is replacing the old packaging, uses a seaweed coating instead of plastic, which allows the whole takeaway box to degrade naturally, like a piece of fruit.

It's the brainchild of Notpla, a sustainable packaging company that creates advanced packaging solutions made from seaweed and other natural materials as an alternative to single-use plastic.

So, to celebrate the launch of the new takeaway packaging, the Hive Beach Café is giving away 20 of their fabulous new takeaway boxes, which will include a portion of the Hive's delicious fish and chips. The takeaway window opens at 12noon, so it will be first come first served.

See you down there tomorrow!
