The team at The Hive Beach Company has had a surprising letter from Sir David Attenborough, after honouring him with food and drink.

Inspired by his second knighthood, as well as his programmes about the planet and the Jurassic Coast, Fefe and Jess at The Club House in West Bexington came up with two different cocktails - one being bright blue, called 'Under The Sea', using Mermaid Gin and representing the ocean, and the other being green and representing the land, called 'No Planet B'.

At The Hive, chefs Andy and Lewis created a mint and English asparagus risotto, pan seared scallops, parmesan crisp with crispy mint dish.

Fefe said: "We wrote to Sir David Attenborough and sent him images of what we had created and were so happy when he wrote back to us, saying, 'I am delighted to know you're enjoying my programmes so much'.

"We stated that at The Hive Co. we are constantly trying to do our bit for the planet, be that through our new eco-friendly Dino-boards to help reduce plastic waste in the ocean, and our NOTPLA biodegradable takeaway boxes made from seaweed.

"Sir David Attenborough is such an inspiring advocate for protecting our planet and its inhabitants and are so inspired by everything he does. What an amazing man."
