After a special general meeting to decide the future of the Hughes Unit Group Supporters (HUGS) on February 8, it was decided to continue in its current form.

Two of the committee members have now stepped down, including the group's treasurer.

HUGS is looking for a new treasurer and other committee members who have an interest in positive mental health in the local community.

HUGS is a mental health organisation which was formed in 2010 by a group of inpatients at the former Hughes Unit at Bridport Community Hospital.

The unit's beds closed in 2013.
