A compelling trio of international musicians will be stopping in Bridport as they tour the region as part of the Concerts in the West spring programme.

The Northern Chords Ensemble was formed through collaboration at the acclaimed Northern Chords Festival, founded in 2009 by artistic director Jonatahn Bloxham.

It brings together some of the most exciting young musicians from across Europe, performing some of the best-loved works from the chamber repertoire.

Violinist Benjamin Baker, cellist Jonathan Bloxham and pianist Daniel Lebhardt enjoy stellar careers individually, have been recipients of many prestigious awards and perform regularly as soloists and chamber musicians worldwide, from the Wigmore Hall and the Southbank Centre to the Philharmonie in Berlin and the Kennedy Centre in Washington.

Northern Chords is delighted to be partnered by the London Chamber Music Society and the Northern Chords Ensemble performed for their series at King's Place in March 2022.

They will be performing at Bridport Arts Centre from 11.30am on Friday, May 5 as part of the Concerts in the West programme.

Tickets cost £14, £5 for those with a student card or free for children aged 12 and under when accompanied by an adult. They can be purchased online at https://tickets.concertsinthewest.org/ and further details about upcoming concerts can be found at www.concertsinthewest.org

The Northern Chords Ensemble will also be playing at Ilminster Arts Centre from 7.30pm on Friday, May 5 and at The Dance House, Crewkerne, from 7.30pm on Saturday, May 6.
