A local lady from Sue Phillips' Bridport Slimming World group, Gini Allen was shocked at her doctor labelling her as obese on a hospital appointment prior to an operation.

The diagnosis spurred her on to join her local group with her mum.

Gini has lost 1st 13.5lbs having joined in November last year and slimmed through Christmas and then into Lockdown 1. Supported by her family and the group she has kept on track and confidence has grown.

Working as an events and marketing manager means travelling for work a lot, although Lockdown forced a change with that too.

Now attends virtual Hiit classes as well as walking whilst in lockdown to keep her activity going

Losing weight has brought back confidence and knowledge that with COVID 19 she is in a better position with a healthy BMI to fight it.
