Man airlifted to hospital after reportedly falling from West Bay cliffs

A man has been taken to hospital after reportedly falling from the cliffs at West Bay.

Dorset Police were called at 9.15am this morning (Saturday) to a report raising concern for the welfare of a man in West Bay.

A spokesman for Dorset Police said: "Officers attended with the ambulance service and HM Coastguard and located a man with injuries. It is reported that he had fallen from the cliffs.

"The nearby area of the beach was closed to allow emergency services to deal with the incident and treat the injured man.

"The man was taken to hospital by the air ambulance at around 11.20am."
