Class A drugs were seized after raids on properties in Bridport and Lyme Regis.

Warrants were executed in the West Dorset area as part of the Force's crackdown aimed at targeting drug gangs operating in the county.

At approximately 9am on Wednesday 21st September officers executed the warrants at an address in the South Street area of Bridport and in the Queens Walk area of Lyme Regis.

The warrants form part of the Force's Operation Viper initiative – proactively targeting and disrupting the activities of those believed to be drug dealing in our community.

During searches of both addresses, officers seized suspected class A drugs and suspected stolen property.

A 28-year-old man from Lyme Regis was arrested on suspicion of possession of a class A drug and was issued with a conditional caution.

Police Sergeant Mike Brown, of West Dorset Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: "These warrants were carried out following information from the public in relation to reported drug-related activity.

"The action involved joint working by multiple teams across the Force, including the local neighbourhood policing team, the Neighbourhood Enforcement Team (NET) and officers from the Force Support Group (FSG).

"We are committed to tackling issues in the local area that we know cause concern for residents and will continue to relentlessly target those believed to be supplying drugs in our county."
