A new swim school is being set up at Freshwater Holiday Park in Burton Bradstock.
The team at the park's Jurassic Fun Centre is hosting taster sessions next week.
Mike Smyth, general manager at Freshwater Beach Holiday Park, said: "This will be a new venture having never done anything like this before, but following very many requests in recent times, we looked into forming a swimming school in conjunction with Swim England and will be following its learn to swim programme."
Although there will be several teachers, the coordinator will be Dan Dew, who was a coach for Bridport Barracudas then for Plymouth Leander Swimming Club.
"This venture makes sense to us as a couple of local schools have used our pool for their students to learn to swim, having been led by their own teachers. But with Dan on board and the backing of Swim England, we feel the time is right to launch our own properly run swim school for the four to 14 age group.
"The response to our advert for the taster session on Monday, December 14 has been overwhelming and is fully booked along with a second taster session on Tuesday, December 15, we are now in the process of arranging a third session for Wednesday, December 16."
The swim school is set to start at the beginning of February and cost £6 per session, which will be half an hour.
The ratio will be six students to one teacher.
