Bridport Leisure Centre now has a brand-new and improved gym for the community to enjoy - and the only Skill X Studio in the country.

The fitness suite has had an upgrade and now offers new Technogym equipment and there is also a dedicated group cycling studio with instructor-led classes and virtual classes.

The Skill X Studio - converted from one of the squash courts - features treadmills, bikes, rowers and weights from the Technogym Skill range.

The gym was officially opened by Malcom Heaver, chairman of Bridport and West Dorset Sports Trust - the charity which runs the centre - and Arthur Watson.

Centre manager William Thrower said: "We look forward to welcoming members old and new back to our community leisure centre and experience our state-of-the-art facilities.

"Bridport Leisure Centre is extremely proud to be the first leisure centre in the country to have a Skill X Studio - an excellent space for individual, group or team training.

"To book a tour, please visit bridportleisure.com or call a member of the team on 01308 426900.

"We would like to take this opportunity to thank our members and the local community for all of their continued support through Covid-19."
