A VARIETY of planning applications has been lodged across Bridport, highlighting a mix of home improvements and heritage upgrades.

A listed building on East Street is the focus of application P/LBC/2026/02429, which proposes improvements to the existing loft room at 89 East Street (DT6 3LB) along with an extension of the kitchen into the adjoining storeroom and workshop.

Elsewhere in the town, application P/HOU/2026/02628 seeks permission for a two‑storey rear extension at 10 Beaumont Avenue (DT6 3AU), creating a new sun room and an enlarged master bedroom. A similar scale of work is planned at 8 Court Orchard Road (DT6 5EY), where application P/HOU/2026/02472 outlines a double‑storey rear extension, internal alterations and the removal of the existing rear extension.

At The Old Stables on St Andrews Road application P/HOU/2026/02206 proposes the erection of a timber‑framed, glass‑topped porch canopy, along with a freestanding garage, workshop and potting shed.
