Police are appealing for information after a home in Alexandra Road was broken into with car keys taken and the car subsequently stolen

Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information after a car was stolen in Bridport.

Between 8pm on Monday, May 2 and 6.15am on Tuesday, May 3, entry was gained to a property in Alexandra Road.

A set of car keys were taken and the vehicle was also subsequently stolen.

Police Constable Dan White, of Bridport police, said: "An investigation is underway into this incident and we have been carrying out a number of enquiries, including house to house visits in the area.

"I am appealing to anyone who saw or heard any suspicious activity around the relevant timeframe to please get in touch.

"Also, I would urge anyone with information about who was responsible to contact Dorset Police."
