Police appeal after indecent exposure near Abbotsbury

Officers investigating an incident of indecent exposure in Abbotsbury are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

The incident occurred at around 8.10pm on Thursday, April 7 at the car park at the top of Abbotsbury Hill on the B3157 Coast Road between Weymouth and Bridport. The victim, a woman aged in her 20s, was parked up in a campervan when she saw a man approach the vehicle and expose himself.

The man is described as white, aged in his 40s to 50s and over six feet tall with a fair complexion. He had short hair, facial stubble and prominent dark eyebrows. The man was wearing a light blue or purple hooded top and beige chino trousers.

Police Constable Kirstin Beveridge, of Dorset Police, said: "The victim was understandably very distressed by this incident and we are carrying out a number of enquiries to identify the man involved.

"I would urge any witnesses or anyone with information to please contact us. I would also urge anyone who was travelling along the B3157 around the relevant time period to please check any dashcam footage they may have for anything that might assist our investigation."
