Police have reported a number of thefts from vehicles in the Bridport area over the past week.

A white coloured Honda Jax, parked at Filcombe Farm on Muddyford Lane, Morcombelake, was broken into and items were stolen sometime between 11.26am and 4pm on Sunday, June 11.

The right-side rear window was smashed and items stolen included a rucksack, laptops, medication and a book (reference number 55230091134).

Also on Sunday, June 11, sometime between 2pm and 4pm on Sunday, a silver coloured Nissan Almera, parked at the nearby National Trust car park at Langdon Hill, between Chideock and Morcombelake, was broken into and a handbag was stolen. Again, the right-hand back window of the car was smashed (reference number 55230091157).

On Wednesday, June 14 between 3pm and 3.27pm, a catalytic convertor was stolen from a silver coloured Toyota Auris, parked outside a property in Rax Lane, Bridport (reference number 55230093092).

Also that day, sometime between 2pm and 4.20pm, another catalytic convertor was stolen from a blue coloured Toyota Prius, parked in Hope Terrace car park, in St Michael's Lane, Bridport (reference number 55230094362).

On Sunday, June 18, between 6pm and 7pm, a handbag containing cash and cards was stolen from a brown coloured Honda, parked in Cogden Beach National Trust car park, on Coast Road, Burton Bradstock.
