A window competition is now getting competitive!

The Lyric Theatre's current lockdown project, 'Story Window', comes to a close at the end of the month, and to ramp things up a little, they have turned it into a competition with prizes.

The Book Shop in South Street has agreed to judge the entries and generously offered some prizes - a selection of books based on the winner's interests, and to display the winning Story Window in their shop window.

To be in with a chance of winning:

  • Make your Story Window and photograph it - ideally in your own window if you can
  • Share it with The Lyric Theatre on Facebook or Instagram and make sure to tag them rather than hashtag
  • Email it to [email protected]

The competition closes at 11.59pm on Sunday, February 28, but get your Story Window up sooner so you and passers-by can enjoy them for longer.

A spokesman for the competition said: "Half-term is the perfect time to get away from those screens and get crafty. This is for all ages and abilities to take part in.

"We'd love to see as many Story Windows as possible by the end of February.

"Above all - have fun."

There is a pack with ideas and inspiration on The Lyric Theatre's website.
