RNLI Raft Race returns to West Bay this week

The much-loved RNLI Raft Race returns to West Bay this week.

The incredibly popular event attracts thousands of residents and visitors, who gather around the River Brit to watch groups of friends, colleagues, family and more compete in homemade rafts.

They need to avoid sinking, capsizing and falling in as they paddle part way up the River Brit and back, normally dressed in fancy dress or costume to go with the theme of their raft.

It's always great fun, so why not go and cheer them on and have a laugh.

The RNLI Raft Race takes place on Thursday, July 21 at 6pm for a 7pm start.
