Lee Lane in Bradpole has been closed after a landslip following Storm Alex at the weekend.

Dorset Council will be carrying out emergency works near the River Asker from the Spray Copse Farm turning for a distance of around 160 metres and the road is expected to be closed until October 22.

The diversion for motorists is via Jessopp Avenue, A3066 Sea Road North, A3066 St Andrews Road, Village Road and Trinity Way in both directions. On this occasion, a diversion will not be signed.

For more information, call Dorset Highways Traffic Team on 01305 221020 or email [email protected]

Village Road in Bradpole will also be partially closed between its junction with A3066 and its junction with Fishweir Lane from October 23 and will remain in place for 18 months. However, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by November 3.

The closure will enable Western Power Distribution to complete a substation change which was stopped due to Covid-19.

The alternative route, which will be sign posted, is via A3066, Townsend Way, Mangerton Lane and Village Road.
