Join the Bridport History Society and The West Dorset Group of the Somerset and Dorset Family History Society to share memories and find out more about 'The Digby Girls'.

The Bridport History Society has been running Zoom meetings since September and these have proved very popular, with more than a third of members taking part.

A monthly e-newsletter has also kept the society in touch with each other and several quizzes have kept members on their toes.

Jane Ferentzi-Sheppard will be looking at the lives of Jane and Pamela Digby on Tuesday, December 8 from 2.30pm. These are two girls who caused a stir in the 19th and 20th century.

The West Dorset Group of the Somerset and Dorset Family History Society has also been offering Zoom meetings since the summer and members from across the UK and Australia have attended.

This month's meeting is a 'show and tell' session. Share memories from childhood, school days and of family members. Members will present their memories using screen share so all can see the presentations.

This will take place on Saturday, December 12 at 2pm.

Anyone who would like to take part in both or either meetings should contact Jane by emailing [email protected] or call 01308 425710 and she will send you the details.
