Bridport Police have issued a warning to dog owners following a recent sheep attack.

On Tuesday (20th) there were reports of an attack, likely by dogs, that killed three sheep in the Shipton Gorge area.

The force issued an appeal for information and a reminder for people to keep their dogs on leads around livestock.

A police spokesperson added: "If you own dogs, please be responsible and ensure that your boundaries are secure so they can't escape. If you walk your dogs, please keep them on a lead around other animals and livestock and do not let a dog loose in a field, unless you know the field is empty first.

"If anyone has any information about this crime, please report it to us and quote reference 55220154246."
