Solar panels have been agreed for the south facing roof of the greenkeeper's workshop at the Bridport and West Dorset Golf Club at Burton Bradstock.

The three sections of panels are similar to a scheme approved by the former West Dorset District Council in 2011, but not acted on, which has now elapsed.

Dorset Council has decided that the change does not need an application for detailed planning consent and can go ahead.

Other local applications decided by Dorset Council include:

Morrisons, West Bay Road, Bridport, small single storey extension for lorry parking;

Lower Mount Farm, The Mount, Melplash, change of use of barns to home;

Strong Orchards, Pineapple Lane, Waytown, extension to farm building, prior approval not required;

Oak Cottage, Main Street, Loders, retrospective application for outbuilding;

Revelshay Farm, Lower House Farm access road, Bettiscombe, animal shelter, prior approval not required;

The Croft, Bonscombe Lane, Shipton Gorge, use as unrestricted dwelling;

Whin Bridge, Mount Lane, Eype, single storey annexe;

Hell Farm Bungalow, Hell Lane, North Chideock, change of use from barn to office and storage with some demolition.
