New handrails for a local church and new signs to a Bridport supermarket feature among the planning applications validated for the area this week.

The week has also seen a number of applications for extension and to use outbuildings and annexes for accommodation.

Among the applications validated for the Bridport area this week are:

142 Orchard Crescent, Bridport, single storey rear extension;

107 Southover, Burton Bradstock, two storey rear extension;

The Barn House, Main Street, Loders, carport, garden and log store;

3 Clay Lane, Puncknowle, first floor extension;

Poorton House, Ridgeback Lane, South Poorton, replacement porch, internal alterations and reinstate windows on north elevation;

Garden Hut, The Studio, Coast Road, Burton Bradstock, use building for self-contained residential accommodation;

3 Queens Road, Bridport, two storey rear extension and new front porch;

Coombe Down Farm Cottages, Bridport Road, Beaminster, demolition and build new home;

14 St James Park, Bridport, conversion of loft space and insert new rear-facing windows and rooflights;

Co-op, Sea Road North, Bridport, new illuminated signs;

Champernhayes Corner, Wootton Fitzpaine, temporary sighting of caravan, tool shed, potting shed and pony box (retrospective);

Church Farm Bungalow, Yellow Lane, Loders, use of land for camping and storage of caravans;

St Marys Church, Tower Hill, Netherbury, replacement of three lamps and installation of wrought iron handrails to steep footpaths;

Kingsland House, Salwayash, internal alteration to relocate WC to utility area;

112 North Allington, Bridport, internal and external alterations, single storey rear extension;

3 Prout Bridge, Beaminster, external staircase and access door at first floor level of the Coach House;

London House, The Square, Broadwindsor, repointing and repair of kitchen rear wall;

137 South Street, Bridport, outbuilding, replacement Dormer window and installation of roof light;

67A The Beeches, Beaminster, two storey extension;

24A Beach Road, Burton Bradstock, extensions and external cladding;

9 Elwell, Bridport, two storey side and single storey rear extension;

Uplands, Loves Lane, Morcombelake, demolition of garage and shed and replacement garage;

6 Sunny Bank, Bridport, demolish existing ground floor extensions and build 1.5 storey extension.
