The nominations for Bridport Local Food Group's Lockdown Hero Awards are in.

The group launched the awards to recognise and say a big 'thank you' to the local food and drink businesses who have risen to the challenges of the pandemic and continued to feed us and provide us with much-needed treats.

A spokesman for Bridport Local Food Group said: "We had a fantastic response and would like to take this opportunity to thank those of you who have spent time to nominate your local food and drink lockdown hero.

"We are currently counting the nominations received for each business and reading through the comments. We will be announcing the winners and runners up in each category shortly.

"The following local food and drink businesses have received nominations, and all should be congratulated.

"The comments received have been amazing and show real appreciation of what each business has done for people living in the area during lockdown."
