Things are slowly beginning to return to normal at The Ropemakers pub.
Although its renowned live music cannot return, landlords John and Geraldine Baker are bringing back the popular meat draw and quiz.
They will try holding the first meat draw under Tier 2 regulations on Friday, December 11, but there will be some changes.
Customers can buy tickets at any time they are in the pub, that is when having a non-alcoholic drink or drink with a meal.
The draw will be held at the slightly later time of 6.30pm and to be in attendance you must have a non-alcoholic drink or a meal. It's advisable to book a table beforehand.
All profits from the draw will be donated to The Living Tree cancer support group.
As well as the meat draw, after much consultation with professional advisors, they can hold a pub quiz on Tuesday, December 15.
The regulations of having a meal or drink for the meat draw also apply to the quiz.
The quiz is free and places are strictly limited and teams can only be made up from your household or support bubble.
The quiz will start at 7pm and will be shorter than normal to allow for the amount of time eating your meal.
To book a place, call the pub on 01308 421255.
John said: "It is good that we can start looking at events but in a strictly controlled fashion.
"Being in Tier 2 means that we can't serve alcohol if you haven't got a meal served to your table, so it is a bit of a strain."
