Three buildings in Bridport and West Bay have been included on Heritage England's at risk register this year, but progress has been made at them.

Bridport Literary and Scientific Institute (LSi) features on the list. It was founded in 1835 as Mechanics Institute and reconstituted in 1855 as Literary and Scientific Institute.

It was a library but was then left empty for a number of years before Bridport Development Trust launched a project to repair and extend the building with National Lottery Heritage Fund support and grant-aid from Historic England. Historic England states that 'works were largely completed in 2018 although some outstanding issues remain'.

St John's Church in West Bay is also mentioned. Since it was added to the at risk register in 2014, the congregation has made 'very good progress'.

Heritage England said: "There are still some areas of damp and the leaded windows are leaking, the roofs have been repaired and the building is beginning to dry out. Some further work is needed but it is improving."

Another West Bay building on the at risk register is Norman Goods warehouse. It is currently being used as an antiques/pop-up market.

Historic England said: "Discussions between Dorset Council, the head leasee, and Historic England regarding the repair of the listed building and use of the site have stalled, but in May 2020, a listed building consent application for retrospective works to provide access to the upper floors was under consideration by Dorset Council."

A number of barrows near Eggardon Hill and Eype were also included.
