After it was highlighted in The Guardian recently, we thought we'd best go down and try one of Baboo Gelato's newest flavours - vegan Stracciatella.

It is a joy to have a dairy free alternative to ice cream that isn't sorbet and it joins the gelato maker's vegan chocolate and vanilla flavours.

It's made with oat milk to create a plain ice cream base, but filled with vegan Belgian dark chocolate shards. And - along with the vegan vanilla and chocolate ice cream - it is delicious, especially enjoyed in a waffle cone.

We would recommend it to every vegan and those with a dairy allergy - and absolutely anyone really - to head down to one of their kiosks at West Bay, Weymouth, Lyme Regis or Felicity's Farm Shop to try it. Next time we're going for a scoop of each of the three vegan flavours.

As well as this, the West Bay kiosk, which is open seven days a week from 10am to 8pm, also offers hot croffles, Italian pastries, milkshakes (also available vegan), granita cocktails, hot drinks and much more!
