This week's walk is a two-mile loop in Hooke Park, taking around one hour. it is of easy level walking.

Start at the parking area off the road by Hooke Park. If coming from Beaminster direction, after the Hooke turning it is a large gravel area on the left.

Go down the path and round to the left. Continue along this path for just over 1.1 miles, until you get to a grassy track on your left leading up to the college. If using an OS map, this is the turning after the allocated footpath, which was too overgrown and impassable.

Go through the college site, sticking to the left and follow the road out of the site.

Keep following the road - re-joining the original footpath on the map - until it comes out onto another. Turn left and it will bring you back to the start.

There are many other paths and areas to explore in Hooke Park, this is just a suggestion for an easy loop.

This walk is just a suggestion, you can of course take any different routes you wish to make it more direct or make it longer. Always take extra care where the ground is uneven or wet.

Please leave gates as you find them - if you opened it, close it.

Please keep dogs on leads around livestock.
