The West Bay Coastguard Rescue Team have been on hand over the Easter bank holiday weekend, offering safety advice to beachgoers.
Coastguards, along with teams from across Dorset, conducted high visibility patrols, paying particular attention to known incident hotspots.
A spokesman for West Bay Coastguard said: "It was also a great opportunity to check that emergency access to certain areas was being maintained should an incident occur.
"For the most part, it was nice to see members of the public keeping themselves and their families safe.
"Safety advice was given on a number of occasions to persons too close to the cliff edges taking selfies, persons and children climbing the mud flows in Charmouth and persons using inflatables during an off-shore wind.
"Advice was also given to people who had set up for the day under cliff faces, and also to the parents of children playing on the surf line without proper supervision.
"Please make sure you are fully prepared for your day at the coast, be aware of the tides, read the local warning signs and make sure you have a method of calling for help.
"Have a fantastic time on the coast this Easter holiday, but if you find yourself in difficulty, or see something that gives you cause for concern, do not hesitate, dial 999 and ask for the coastguard."
