This year's West Bay Vintage Rally has been cancelled.

The event, organised by the West Dorset Vintage Tractor and Stationary Engine Club (WDVTSEC), is usually held on the second weekend in June at the West Bay showground.

A spokesman for the WDVTSEC committee said: "This week the committee has made the hard decision to cancel the 2021 West Bay vintage Rally due to the ongoing situation with Covid-19.

"Trying to organise an event in these uncertain times is impossible.

"We would like to thank all our club members and exhibitors for their continued support, which as a result, the club has been able to donate over £62,500 to local charities and community projects over the last 40 years.

"We are very hopeful for 2022."
