We've picked four events happening in and around the town this weekend for you to enjoy:

Friday: From Page To Screen

Bridport's film festival continues today and over the weekend with a great range of films being shown. Today's offering includes My Life as a Dog, West Side Story, Flee and Spencer, with special guests, speakers and a free exhibition.

Saturday: The Market House Inn Weekender

Enjoy a weekend of live music at the West Street pub and restaurant with nine Dorset acts playing late into the night and early hours. The one stop shop for food, drink, great music and entertainment.

Sunday: Launch of the 350 anniversary appeal

In order for the beautiful Chapel in the Garden to be around for many years to come, a fundraising appeal is being launched on its 350th birthday to raise £350,000 over the next couple of years. Everyone is welcome to worship, a shared lunch, exhibition and illustrated talk.

Monday: Mayfest

Bridport Community Orchard is bringing back Mayfest, its largest event since the coronavirus pandemic began. Enjoy dancing, food, the crowing of the May queen and Jack-in-the-Green, music and so much more in the orchard behind St Mary's Church in South Street.
