Friday: An evening of concerts

A spring concert of baroque variations will be held at St Mary's Church in Burton Bradstock, as part of Burton Bradstock Festival of Music and Art. This will be held from 7pm on Friday, May 19.

Meanwhile, Chris Wood – winner of BBC 6 Music Folk Awards, including Folk Singer Of The Year and Song Writer Of The Year – will perform at Eype Centre for the Arts from 7.30pm on Friday, May 19.

Saturday: Bridport Community Charter Fair

Community stalls, music and dancing will fill the streets of Bridport this weekend for the revitalised Charter Fair.

The free event will be held on Saturday, May 20 from 9.30am, with more than 40 stalls at Millennium Green and entertainment from an array of talented performers, including Trumbonium, Local Vocal, Wyld Morris, Bridport Young Performers, Bridport Musical Theatre, Phoenix Youth Band, and Bridport's Ukrainian Choir.

With this event now attracting more support than ever, there will also be stalls and free entertainment in Bucky Doo Square, starting at 10am with The Big Band, and followed by Bridport Choral Society, Shiraz, and Rough Assembly.

Saturday: Plant Swap

Bridport Plant Swap has been reinvigorated and will be held on Saturday, May 20, allowing local gardeners together to share the bounty of their spring sowings.

The event will be held at Bridport Community Shed from 10am to 12noon on Saturday, May 20, when the town is expected to be busy for the Bridport Community Charter Fair, market and the first Bridport Colour Walk of the year.

Saturday: Free performance of Circadelic

Bridport Arts Centre celebrates its 50th anniversary this week and will be celebrating with free performances by Circadelic on Saturday, May 20.

Circadelic is a 30-minute mini-circus event which promises to be a fun-filled and action-packed extravaganza, featuring a range of talented performers who will dazzle you with their skills and entertain you with their humour.

There will be two performances of Circadelic on Saturday, May 20, at 2pm and 3pm.
