All weekend: Jurassic Fields
One of Bridport's most-anticipated events of the year, Jurassic Fields, returns this weekend and is set to be bigger and better than ever.
Jurassic Fields brings together not only some amazing top acts from around the country but will be showcasing the best music, comedy, food and entertainment the local area has to offer.
Having moved to the new, larger site of West Bay Fields, near Broomhill Farm, the three-day festival promises a packed programme of entertainment, including headliners The Hoosiers on Friday evening, Ferocious Dog on Saturday and The Feeling on Sunday Night.
Last year's event was a sell-out, so don't delay in booking those last-minute tickets!
All Weekend: Art@Eype
Ten artists and makers from around Dorset are taking part in a group exhibition at Eype Centre for the Arts this weekend.
The annual summer show is put together by three Bridport-based artists – imaginative painter David Brooke, photomontage/mixed media artist Sally Davies and portrait painter Elizabeth Sporne. Each year, they invite a changing line-up of fellow artists, from around the county, to join them at Eype to show their work and talk about it with visitors.
The exhibition will be open from 10am to 5pm on Friday and Saturday, and from 10am to 4pm on Sunday at Eype Centre for the Arts, St Peter's Church, Mount Lane, Eype, near Bridport (DT6 6AR). Admission is free, as is parking for exhibition visitors.

The Thorner's School Association and St Mary's Church will host Litton Cheney Village Fete at the Latch & Thorner's School, from 1pm to 4pm on Saturday, July 15.
