Bridport has a number of famous people in the area - Billy Bragg, Martin Clunes and Chris Chibnall to name but a few. But who is the most searched for person on Wikipedia in the town?
The Pudding website has created a people map of the UK, replacing town names with their 'most Wikipedia-ed' resident. This could be someone who was born, lived or has connections to the town.
According to the map, Bridport's most Wikipedia'ed person is PJ Harvey.
Polly Jean Harvey is a musician, singer-songwriter, writer, poet and composer and lives in the West Bay area.
She began her career in 1988 when she joined the band Automatic Dlamini as a vocalist but in 1991 she formed the trio called PJ Harvey and subsequently began her career as PJ Harvey. They released two studio albums before disbanding and Harvey continued as a solo artist.
Since 1995 she has released a further nine studio albums and is the only artist to have been awarded the Mercury Prize twice - for 'Stories from the City, Stories from the Sea' and 'Let England Shake' - as well as gaining eight Brit Award nominations, seven Grammy Award nominations and two further Mercury Prize nominations.
In 2013, she was awarded an MBE in 2013 for services to music.
