The West Dorset Jive Community is thrilled to announce its upcoming event, featuring a free class and social dance for individuals interested in exploring the world of modern or social jive.

This inclusive gathering aims to foster a vibrant dance community and provide an opportunity for dancers of all styles to come together and enjoy an evening filled with music, movement, and connection.

Established in 2019 by the Dynamic Dance Team, the West Dorset Jive Community has been nurturing the local dance scene with a mission to promote jive and create an inviting space for newcomers and experienced dancers alike, the community organises free classes approximately four times a year.

This event will be held on Monday, July 3 from 7.30pm to 9pm at Chideock Village Hall.

The evening will kick off with a modern jive class at 7.30pm, offering participants an opportunity to learn the basic steps and techniques of this lively dance style.

No prior experience is necessary, as the class is designed to accommodate individuals of all skill levels. Whether you're a seasoned dancer or taking your first steps on the dance floor, the West Dorset Jive Community welcomes you.

Following the class, the social dancing segment will commence at 8.30pm, allowing attendees to practice their moves, groove to a wide range of tunes, and connect with fellow dance enthusiasts.

The event will wrap up at 9.30pm, at which point participants are invited to continue the festivities at The Clockhouse pub, ensuring a memorable night filled with camaraderie and shared experiences.
