An incredible 2,500 people received Covid-19 vaccinations at Bridport Medical Centre on Saturday - the most yet for the centre.

The team, made up of staff from Bridport, Barton House Medical Practice, The Tollerford Practice, Lyme Bay Medical and Dental Practices and Charmouth Medical Practice were helped by volunteers from Bridport Coronavirus Community Support to reach the amazing number.

A plea for a stolen plant to be returned to an 89-year-old grandmother with dementia has shown "the love and care that runs through a town" - with a replacement kindly given by Groves Nurseries.

Merrilie Hussey took to social media to appeal for the plant taken from her grandparents' courtyard in St Swithins Court to be returned after it was stolen sometime between 10am and 12noon on Friday, March 19.

Bridport Medical Centre and the Tollerford Practices at Beaminster and Maiden Newton will merge to become Ammonite Health Partnership

Bridport Medical Centre and the Tollerford Practices in Beaminster and Maiden Newton will merge on April 6, becoming Ammonite Health Partnership.

The GP partners of the surgeries announced in June 2020 plans to merge the practices under one contract early in 2021, but with each centre retaining its name and continuing to operate.
