Bridport Barracudas swimming club came back fighting in the final round of the Jurassic League held at Bridport Leisure Centre to take the win for the club.

The Jurassic League is highly contested by 6 local swimming clubs over four rounds, with the first three rounds being awarded to Weymouth Swimming Club but Bridport Barracudas showed their determination in the final round to take home the win.

The Barracudas' team of swimmers competed fiercely, with many stepping up and swimming in a higher age group. This round was highly challenged with Weymouth Swimming Club taking the lead from Barracudas midway through the gala but the Bridport swimmers never gave up and put their training to the test, swam hard and were rewarded with the win!

Weymouth were crowned overall champions over the four events with Bridport Barracudas taking a well-deserved second place.

Head Coach, Sophie Dawe said: "The Jurassic League is always a really fun event with a fantastic team atmosphere. Each and every swimmer swam fantastically and it was great to see them all cheering each other on.

"I was so pleased to see them take the win at the final round; it was just what they deserved and a great way to finish a fantastic season for the club."

Bridport Barracudas welcome new swimmers of all ages and abilities, for more information email [email protected] or visit the website www.swimbarracudas.co.uk
