Modern Jive Dance Classes - Monday’s at Chideock Village Hall

For those new to the dance, Modern Jive is a freestyle partner dance which is danced to a range of music with no complicated footwork patterns to remember (Modern Jive is also known as Social Jive, LeRoc, Mo-Jive, Ceroc etc)

Classes are social which means that you can come alone, with a partner or with friends and join in. We rotate partners throughout the class as this is the best way to learn the dance. 

Crew members are on hand at each class to support the teacher and help you to find your feet (both left ones!). 

Modern Jive is ideal for brand new dancers and is suitable for all levels of fitness.

Class Format:

7:30 Beginners

9:00 Improvers and intermediates (and video recap!)

9:45 Freestyle

10:15 Close

There will be social dancing time in-between classes as well as Freestyle at the end of the evening.

£6 per evening per person or discounts when you buy a 6-class pass!

Members are welcome to record/video the class recap at the end of the session for your own personal use.
