A Covid vaccination clinic will be held at Bridport Medical Centre tomorrow (Saturday) but the timings will be different.

Appointments will be between 12.30pm and 9pm for cohort 6 patients, those aged 16 to 65 with underlying health conditions and moving on to cohort 7, patients aged 60 to 64.

Patients in the earlier cohorts may call the Covid booking team on 01308 808714 to book or may await further contact.

Parking will again be available in West Street/bus station, with spaces at the centre mostly reserved for people with mobility issues.

Those attending a vaccination appointment should not arrive more than five minutes before their appointment time. Appointments will not be missed even if there is queuing into the surgery.

Bridport Medical Centre (BMC) has published a handy guide to the clinics and what to expect, which can be found here.

A spokesman for Bridport Medical Centre said: "Please do ensure you are prepared for the visit, particularly regarding parking at the BMC site.

"We are expecting the weather to be colder and potentially showery. We will try all we can to minimise queues spilling to outside but please do come dressed for all weathers."

During the clinic, the team at Bridport Medical Centre will be raising money for 'The Cowshed at Number 17', a new allotment garden behind the surgery.

The spokesman added: "Our wonderful health and wellbeing champions are raising money for their first major project - The Cowshed at Number 17 - a wheelchair-friendly allotment and garden.

"They are looking to raise funds for a tool shed, timber for raised beds and a workstation and a social shelter.

"Look out for the blue collection buckets during our vaccination clinics - thank you."
