Film line-up for this year's From Page to Screen announced - and it includes Ammonite

The films being shown at this year's From Page to Screen have been announced.

Tickets are on sale now for the three-day online film festival, taking place from April 22 to 24.

Ammonite, based on the life of Mary Anning and filmed in Lyme Regis, is one of the highlights of the event and will be available from Saturday, April 24 from 7.30pm.

The Father, starring Anthony Hopkins in a poignant tale of aging defiantly, will be available from 7.30pm on Friday, April 23.

The Mauritanian, starring Tahar Rahim, Jodie Foster and Benedict Cumberbatch, is the true story of Mohamedou Ould Slahi's fight for freedom after being detained and imprisoned for years without charge in Guantánamo Bay. After the film join From Page to Screen curator Edith Bowman in conversation with Mohamedou Ould Slahi, author of the memoir, 'Guantanamo Diary', upon which The Mauritanian is based, and also the film's director Kevin Macdonald. This will be available from 7.30pm on Thursday, April 22.

Other films include Beats and Oliver Sacks.
