Pick up a bargain - or even a Christmas present - and help support a worthy cause.

A charity auction in aid of Weldmar Hospicecare is being held at The Ropemakers pub on Sunday, November 7.

Viewing will be immediately prior to the sale and bids can be left at the bar or with Roz from November 4 by calling 01308 422650.

Bidding starts at 6.45pm and the auctioneers will be Richard from Bridport Antiques and Simon from Lyme Bay Auction.

Roz Copson, organiser of the auction, said: "There are over 80 lots, from a brand-new mop and bucket to a bottle of special Cuvee Bollinger Champagne in celebration of over 40 years of partnership as the official Champagne of 007. With the movie, No Time To Die, this limited edition gift box brings together the special Cuvee Bollinger Champagne and the legendary British secret agent James Bond, amongst many other interesting items.

"Many thanks to all who have donated items and anyone who helps in anyway, including Jason at Footprints for printing, Lesley for typing the catalogue, Nigel and Karen and her family for help getting items together and on the day, and many thanks to Geraldine and John and their staff for being kind hosts once again.

"Please support this worthy cause."
