The popular Boxing Day Swim in West Bay has been cancelled for a second year.

The West Bay Wallow, organised by Bridport Round Table, attracts thousands of people, raising much-needed funds for local good causes.

A spokesman for Bridport Round Table said: "It is with great sadness we are having to postpone this year's Boxing Day Swim to 2022.

"We will be back with a big splash next year when we hope some certainty around Covid and restrictions will mean we will have a clear path to organise the event and be positive we can keep everyone safe.

"We hope you understand, have a great Christmas everyone."

People are urged not to do their own swim as safety measures will not be in place.
