Skilled chefs at The Watch House Cafe in West Bay will be showing off their talents at a special event later this month.

Experienced new head chef Colin and his team, who have recently revamped the menu at the acclaimed Watch House, will be cooking up a storm on Thursday, March 23.

The Chef's Showcase will include a special three-course menu of fresh seafood and other seasonal, local produce – all served alongside live music in the relaxed, beachside venue.

Billed as "the best from the best", the menu will feature the highest quality local produce taking centre stage in creative dishes with European influences, including fish, meat and vegetarian options for both starters and mains, and a delicious selection of three desserts.

Dishes featured include Coquille St Jacques, with Lyme Bay scallops baked in their shell, piped mashed potato, wild mushroom, veal jus and Gruyere breadcrumbs; Beef Wellington served with dauphinoise potatoes and roasted root vegetables, finished with a red wine and mustard vermouth jus; and a chocolate device with banana ice cream, toasted almonds and toffee popcorn.

The evening will get started at 6pm on Thursday, March 23 with live music from 7pm. Tickets cost £37.50 per person and are expected to sell out – so book your table today at https://www.watchhousecafe.co.uk/
