Bridport Heritage Forum has taken a leaf out of the book of TV presenter David Olusoga, and is planning to research the history and heritage of Bridport and West Bay through a study of houses, and the families who have lived in them.

It comes following the success of David Olusoga's 'A House Through Time' BBC series.

Bridport Heritage Forum is keen to involve as many local people as possible in this exciting new project.

Those who might be interested in finding out about the house they live in – discovering the stories of the residents that came before them, and the times they lived through – are invited to get in touch or attend a launch event.

To kick start the project, a meeting is being held at Mountfield in Bridport on Wednesday, June 14 at 7.30pm to talk about the scheme and plan the first steps to discovery.

Everyone will be very welcome – no previous knowledge of your house is necessary, just a curious mind and the desire to be a detective!

If you are interested and can't get to the meeting, contact [email protected] for more information.
