A former Bridport footballer is sharing his passion with children by becoming a coach.

Tom Richardson is now offering a children's football club, SupaStrikers, for those aged two to seven at Bridport Youth and Community Centre.

Tom, who played for Bridport Football Club for around five years, said: "I am extremely passionate about football. I have been playing football since I was four. During my football career I have played at a high standard within various clubs, including Weymouth FC in the conference league and Dorchester Town.

"I have been fortunate to play and learn from some absolute legends, including being coached by David Beckham.

"I have now taken my passion for football to the next level gaining qualifications to become a licensed SupaStriker coach. This means I am now able to teach your children all the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in the pitch.

"That aside, most importantly, I am a dad of young children myself and I know how vital it is for kids to have a football club within Bridport where they can make new friendships, build confidence and social skills, increase their fitness levels whilst they have lots of fun."

SupaStrikers is a weekly football-based activity session for children aged two to seven. As well as learning core football and movement skills, children also develop their awareness of shapes, colours, simple numbers and social skills.

Holiday camps, in house sessions at nurseries, pre-schools and schools are also available, as well as one-to-one private coaching sessions.

Sessions take place:

·      Thursdays from 3.55pm to 4.40pm at Bridport Youth and Community Centre for MiniStrikers and MegaStrikers - children aged two to four

·      Thursdays from 4.50pm to 5.35pm at Bridport Youth and Community Centre for MaxiStrikers and MaxiStrikers + - children aged four to seven

·      Saturdays from 9am to 9.45am at Bridport Youth and Community Centre for MiniStrikers - children aged two to three

·      Saturdays from 10am to 10.45am at Bridport Youth and Community Centre for MegaStrikers - children aged three to four

·      Saturdays from 11am to 11.45am at Bridport Youth and Community Centre for MaxiStrikers and MaxiStrikers + - children aged four to seven
