Get ready for Bridport Folk Festival this weekend

By Lottie Welch 12th Aug 2021

With live music and performances across the town, Bridport Folk Festival returns this weekend.

Music and dancing will fill the town centre, with stages at the Millennium Green, Bucky Doo Square and the Borough Gardens, as well as a range of workshops, sing around sessions and children's activities.

The full line-up from Friday, August 13 to Sunday, August 15 can be found at bridportfolkfestival.com

There have been changes to the concerts taking place over the weekend.

Owena Archer, one half of Antoine and Owena who were meant to play on Friday evening, has tested positive for coronavirus and is self-isolating. However, David Mitchell and Graham Vincent - of Mitchell and Vincent - have offered to step in to support the headline act, Open Water.

Tickets cost £12 in advance and are available from Bridport Tourist Information Centre or at bridportandwestbay.co.uk, or £15 on the door.

The Saturday night concert with Gadarene and Quinns Quinney has been moved from the Electric Palace to the Millennium Green after some people mentioning they are not keen on inside venues just yet.

Ticket prices are cheaper and cost £15 in advance from Bridport Tourist Information or at bridportandwestbay.co.uk, or £17 on the door.

Part of South Street will be closed to traffic on the Sunday. From 7.30am to 6.30pm, the road from the town hall to Gundry Lane will be closed.
