Two victories in four days has seen Bridport climb into 12th place in the South West Peninsular League Premier East.

A 2-0 win over Holsworthy, second from bottom in the table, and a similar scoreline at Cullompton Rangers (10th in the table), saw the Bees move close the gap between their nearest rivals with games in hand.

Tomorrow (Saturday) Chris Herbst's men have the chance to improve their position with an away trip to Torrington who have conceded 66 goals so far this season, although the Bees' manager is not taking too much notice of that statistic as he looks for more consistent performances away from St Mary's Field.

Goals in the win over Holsworthy came from Sol Ayunga and substitute Rob Jones.

Bridport Reserves continue roti struggle in the Dorset Premier Division, losing 4-1at Merley Cobham Sports. The Bees' second string, after taking the lead, were reduced to ten men when Jake Mansley was controversially sent off and then reduced to nine men when Aladam Heaton was sin-binned.

The Reserves remain second for bottom with just 17 points from their 24 games.

Drimpton booked their place in the semi-finals of the Perry Street League Arthur Gage Cup with a comprehensive 10-1 victory over Shepton Beauchamp Reserves with Josh Cousins and Max Dicker being chosen as the men-of-the-match.
