Vehicle owners have been urged to be vigilant following recent thefts in the Bridport area.

Thefts in Broadoak and West Bexington have sparked a fresh police appeal from police.

Between Friday evening (30th) and Saturday morning (1st) a catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle in the Broadoak area. Catalytic converters are stolen by being cut off with a grinder/saw.

At lunchtime on Wednesday 28th September, a Land Rover was stolen from the West Bexington area. The vehicle was later found a couple of miles away, with parts removed.

A police spokesperson added: "Please be mindful of your security and contact us if you would like any advice. Please also be vigilant and report any suspicious activity to us, at the time on 101, or call 999 if you believe a crime is in progress."
