Coastguards and paramedics worked together to rescue a woman who had fallen on the coast path near Burton Bradstock.
West Bay Coastguard Rescue Team was called just before 12.30pm yesterday (Tuesday) to reports of a 58-year-old woman who had fallen just east of Freshwater.
The lady was out for a walk and slipped going down into Freshwater and thought to have broken her ankle.
South Western Ambulance Service was also called to attend.
A spokesman for West Bay Coastguard said: "Using the team's 4x4 vehicle, officers were able to travel off-road along the top of the cliffs to just above the casualty's location.
"The lady was found to be in good spirits but in a lot of discomfort. After an initial assessment, her ankle injury was stabilised with a splint and fracture straps and she was kept warm.
"The ambulance service arrived shortly after and the paramedics were transported to the scene using the team's 4x4 vehicle.
"Once pain relief had been administered, the casualty was packaged into the team's stretcher and transported back to the waiting ambulance for her onward trip to hospital.
"We wish the casualty a full and speedy recovery.
"Stay safe on the coast, but if you find yourself in difficulty or if you see something that gives you cause for concern, do not hesitate, dial 999 and ask for the coastguard."
