Dark Bear Bar wants to spread some Christmas Cheer and raise money for Bridport's Cupboard Love Food Bank.

The team at Dark Bear has permission from Bridport Town Council and is working with Bridget's Market and Footprints to have a Christmas tree put in the planter outside Waitrose on West Street.

The idea being that children can bring a bauble and decorate the tree from Saturday onwards.

Lloyd Brown, of Dark Bear, said: "We are doing an online mocktail class for the little ones at 3pm on December 19 via our Facebook page to raise money for Cupboard Love.

"I had the idea that we could promote this and bring some cheer when I saw the vacant planter. It's right outside Waitrose and with everyone queuing up, it just felt like a nice idea to cheer folks up.

"Bridget's Market is putting a Christmas tree in ready for Saturday and we are encouraging people to pop on their own bauble and dress the tree. Footeprints are supplying a sign with a QR code as well if people would like to donate to the food bank."

Find out more at Dark Bear's Facebook page - and don't forget to put in your cocktail orders in time for Christmas!
