The Christmas tree stolen from the planter outside Waitrose has been found and returned.

The team at Dark Bear Bar worked with Footeprints and Bridget's Market to install the Christmas tree and have the community come and decorate it in aid of Cupboard Love Food Bank. It raised £300.

It was taken sometime on December 27 but Lloyd Brown, of Dark Bear Bar, said the "mindless act doesn't detract from how everyone in the community came together and raised some money for a good cause and a great festive cheer with the quirky and fun decorations".

But it has been put back after a couple spotted it in a river, dragged it out and wheeled it back to the pot.
